Zero-Paid-Ads Campaign · Interactive Infographic

Drop It.

"Drop it. Publish it. Share it." — an organic, product-led launch for the Phase 1 core loop.
The product is the ad. Every agent-published Drop carries the DropRegion link at the moment of highest intent — so this campaign spends $0 on media and everything on making that mechanic work.

The Core Loop — why no ad budget is needed
1 · Agent publishesClaude/Cowork/Claude Code publishes on a user's behalf
2 · Live branded DropA working demo, carrying the DropRegion link, at peak intent
3 · Gallery discoveryEvery Drop becomes top-of-funnel media for the next visitor
4 · Next creator publishesSees it, tries it, the loop repeats
This is the entire zero-paid mechanic. Everything below exists to seed and accelerate this loop.

Stage 01 · Foundation
What this plan is built on
Two source docs converge: the product itself is the marketing engine.
+

From the Business Brief

  • Product: "Netlify meets YouTube." Paste or POST HTML, get a live link at dropregion.com/@handle/<slug>. Free to browse, one free account to publish, then an API key lets an agent publish unattended forever.
  • Free, permanently: no paywall, no custom domains, ever. Monetization only arrives in Phase 3, and only for creators who've already built an audience.
  • GTM thesis already chosen: the Anthropic ecosystem itself as a zero-cost engine — the "endorsement engine" shown above.
  • Roadmap sequencing: Phase 2 (MCP server) is gated on Phase 1 proving agents adopt the free HTTP path first — marketing follows pull, not the reverse.

From the Platform Infographic

  • Category: "Interactive publishing" — hides deployment complexity, adds discovery, identity, audience, monetization over time.
  • The product unit: "Netlify thinks in deployments. Vercel thinks in applications. YouTube thinks in videos. DropRegion should think in Drops."
  • Three priorities to get stronger: Discovery (connect creator/content/audience/recommendation), Infrastructure (build on top, don't rebuild), Network Effects (every new Drop should help the next participant).
  • Internal scorecard (not customer-facing): DropRegion 116/125 vs. Vercel 101, Netlify 94, YouTube 94.
This isn't a budget constraint we're working around — it's the strategy both source documents were already pointing to.
Stage 02 · Audience
Three waves, one sequence
AI builders first, the in-between file-havers close behind, developers third.
+

The brief poses AI power users vs. developers as the open question. A third group sits between them: people who simply have an HTML file. Sequencing this way lets earned media compound fastest, then cheap conversion, then technical proof.

1 · AI power users & "vibe coders" — primary
  • Who: people using Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Lovable, Replit, v0 to generate pages and prototypes daily.
  • Pain point: they can generate something in seconds but hit a wall the moment they want to show someone.
  • Where: X/Twitter AI-builder threads, r/ChatGPT, r/ClaudeAI, Indie Hackers, Product Hunt, AI-tool Discords.
  • Stage: unaware a dedicated publish target exists — category creation, not displacement.
2 · The in-between — people who just have a file
  • Who: small-business owners, teachers, students, freelancers holding an .html file with no hosting account and no interest in getting one.
  • Pain point: hosting feels like a whole separate skill for something they just want to send as a link.
  • Where: search-driven ("how do I host an html file"), Facebook groups, Fiverr/Upwork forums, Envato/Etsy support threads, Quora.
  • Message that lands: "got an HTML file? drop it here."
3 · Developers & agent builders
  • Who: developers wiring up agents/pipelines that need to publish programmatically.
  • Pain point: no lightweight, zero-config publish target built for machine callers.
  • Where: Hacker News, dev Twitter/X, GitHub, r/webdev, MCP/agent-tooling Discords.
  • Stage: consideration — this segment makes Phase 2 (MCP) look inevitable once Phase 1 shows adoption.
Stage 03 · Message
"Got HTML? Drop it, get a link."
One umbrella line, three segment variants, one hard rule on Anthropic framing.
+

Segment variants

  • AI builders: "If your AI just built something, don't screenshot it — drop it."
  • In-between: "Got an HTML file and nowhere to put it? Drop it here."
  • Developers: "A publish target built for agents, not humans clicking a dashboard."

Supporting messages

  • From idea to live link in one step — no hosting setup, no deploy pipeline, no repo.
  • Every publish builds a channel, not just a URL — handle, gallery listing, real screenshot.
  • Free, permanently — not a trial — no paywall, no bring-your-own-domain workaround.
  • Safe by default — malware/phishing scan + 24-hour takedown SLA.
Anthropic relationship: use "built for the way people already work with Claude" / "a publish target Claude, Cowork, and Claude Code can use." Avoid "official," "partner," "powered by Anthropic," any logo use. Caption example Drops as "published from Claude," never "in partnership with Anthropic."
Stage 04 · Channels
Owned + earned, zero paid
The gallery is owned top-of-funnel media; PH/HN/Reddit are the earned spike.

Cold-start fix: the team publishes 30–50 genuinely useful Drops before any outreach, so the gallery never looks empty on a visitor's first click.

Stage 07 · Metrics
Activated creators is the number that matters
Signups alone don't prove the loop works — publishing does.
+
1,500Drops published
600Activated creators
50+API keys issued
25+Earned mentions
Gallery traffic by Wk 8
20%+Repeat-publish rate
Primary KPI: activated creators (600). Identity and discovery only matter once someone actually publishes.
Stage 08 · Budget
$0 paid media, by design
The real cost is people-hours and responsiveness, not spend.
+
  • Paid acquisition: $0 — this campaign tests whether the product-led engine can carry Phase 1 without spend.
  • Time / production: seeding Drops, launch-kit production, outreach, ongoing curation.
  • Micro-incentives (still $0): a featured gallery placement, an "early creator" badge, a changelog shout-out.
  • Tools: existing analytics/social-listening only — no new paid software.
  • Contingency: reserve 1–2 team-days/week for reactive engagement — earned channels live or die on responsiveness.
Stage 09 · Risks
Four things that could break this
Each has a specific, already-decided mitigation — not a hope.
+
Launching before MCP ships undercuts the story
Frame Phase 1 as "the free HTTP publish path, live today" and tease MCP as "next" — matches the roadmap's own "prove pull first" sequencing.
Empty gallery kills first-impression discovery
Week 1's 30–50 seed Drops are a hard prerequisite before any PH/HN/Reddit push goes out.
Moderation load rises faster than the team can review
Monitor report/takedown-vs-volume weekly; tighten scanning thresholds temporarily if volume spikes.
Messaging implies an official Anthropic partnership
The Stage 3 language guide is a must-have Week 1 deliverable, memorized before Week 4's launch.
Stage 10 · Next Steps
Five approvals unlock the whole plan
Nothing downstream moves until Week 1's owner is assigned.
